Sunday with the fleet

Started up near the hole with the rest of the fleet. We were unable to catch any tuna, but managed a dolphin that was under skinnees flip flop and a wahoo. Picked up and headed south hoping to find a few dolphin. We picked up another wahoo, a king, and some cudas.

Dropped jigs down on the ledge for a while and managed one scamp and some AJ’s.

Highlight of the day was watching a free jumping Right Whale. He put on a great show about 1000 or so yards behind the boat.

Had an 8 year old on the boat who has some very tired arms now! He did a great job reeling in just about every fish that bit yesterday.

Also had the smallest dolphin that I have ever seen come through our spread and bite off every bait we had out. It was jumping out of the water with each bait in his mouth and couldnt have been more than 8" long.

NICE REPORT, Especially enjoyed hearing about the 8 year old, bet he wont forget that soon!! Nothing like taking a kid fishing!!

Nice job on pulling one off the flip-flop. I like to lose one out there once in a while. They’ve been known to make an 8-rod spread go down once or twice.

that 8 year old must have had a blast…good to hear!
