Sunday

After over a month, I finally got a couple days off from the mandatory overtime at work. Woo Hoo!!
I launched from the dam ramp just after 7:00 this morning & had lines in at 7:30. I caught My first two within 10 mins. The 1st was a respectable 7 1/2 lbs. The 2nd weighed almost 14 lbs. I released her healthy & unharmed. It was hit & miss for the next couple of hours, but I managed to get my limit by around 9:30. the rest averaged about 5 lbs., with one short as my last one.
It was a beautiful morning with me & Porkchop having some much needed time on the water together.

I forgot to add; All fish caught in 80-95 feet of water with the fish hitting at 30-40ft.

That,s one of the best looking fishing partner i’ve seen in a while! Sounds as if you had a great day.

Nice way to finish off the weekend!

The other one don’t like to fish?

Ever since Porkchop was a puppy, he’s been my dog. You know, one of those special bonds. Out of the three dogs, Porkchop is the most laid back & relaxed on the boat. I’ve been taking him fishing since he was about a year old. Our oldest one, Roscoe, gets scared if the wind blows the wrong way. Way too nervous for the boat. The youngest, and smallest at 6 1/2 lbs., Duncan, is a little Tasmanian devil & tries to eat everything. I’d spend more time prying things out of his mouth than I would fishing.
