Looking to buy a really good pair of sunglasses, any recomendations?
you looking for polarized or does it matter? I’m assuming for fishing since this is the fishing discussion forum…I love my Costa Eliminators with 580 lens…If you spend a few bucks, get good glasses and take care of them you will well get your money’s worth out of them…

Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn’t go so far as to call a dog filthy but they’re definitely dirty. But, a dog’s got personality. Personality goes a long way.

Costa’s are good.polarized is a must.If you want to be like every Tom,Dick, and Harry, buy the blue mirror lens. The 580 is a good lens.

Guess I’m the oddball on here. I wear Smith Optics; specifically the Fly By with 1.5 magnification in the bifocal section. Fantastic glasses for inshore.

I have a pair of polarized Smiths, I really like them. Got them for under $100.
if using them strictly for fishing be sure you match the lens with the water you’ll be fishing. i got a pair of costas with the 580 vermillion/mirror lens…it lights up the bottom inshore, fished for 3 days in the backcountry in the everglades, it was almost unfair how i could see all the fish around…of course i took my glasses off to see if i could still see the fish…not even close. i wouldnt use them to drive for hours on end though since they are a little bright…just depends on if you’re looking for one specifically for fishing or for more all around. on that note, i have maui’s for driving and they are tough to beat, my friend at jackson davenport told me that the maui’s have the best polarized lenses out there, got each for under 200 a piece…goodluck with the search!

I’ve got a pair of Costa Tripltail greenmirror glasses. From what I know, the blue mirror helps mainly with offshore and the green/vermillion colors helps mainly with inshore. I use them with driving as well and they work fine. You just gotta find the right pair that fits you best and with the right color lense you want. make the right choice, cuz Costas cost a bit of mulah…

Try out 7 EYE sunglasses. I love mine. Flip Pallot has got a new design with them that I have been very impressed with.
go to sunglass warehouse at tanger outlet. ask for kenzie, the local sunglass expert/goddess.she knows sunglasses!
I am wearing Smith Factor Max. $120 plus tax. Love’em and Smith’s customer service was great when I broke my lens. I also like and recomend Native’s. Around the same price range and both come with other color lenses you can change out easily.

I ended up with a pair of brown polarized Natives and a pair of blue mirror / grey lens Suncloud aviators. The total for both was less than a single pair of Costas from Steep and Cheap. The Sunclouds are OK - good lenses and an OK plastic frame. I love the Natives - great lenses and sturdy plastic frame. Both pairs supposedly have lifetime warranties.
The Maui Jims were too expensive, Oakley didn’t have anything I liked, and every pair of Costas I saw for less than $120 was way too small for my head.

x2 Natives/Smiths. Warranty service on Natives is not bad either. They are owned by Costa I think.

until i can see further, i settled for a $4.00 pair of fishin glasses from walmark, fresh mullet and cactus juice from haddrells, oiled my abu garcias after loosing my shimano and convergence in the river then found me a couple of docks and all began to come together sunday mornin. last time i checked my checklist for fishin i had a hundred items on it and most are expensive. i asked mr.red sunday mornin if he was concerned about the type boat i had or what color buff i should wear - he never answered. i didn’t think to go look under the dock before i threw the mullet. go fish
