sunk boat

I see where th boat that was hanging out in the marsh close to Leeds Ave has finally come out of the grass and sank next to the bank.

Shhhhh
Thats my new secret fishing spot.
Kinda pisses you off that no one has force the owner to remove it, now that it’s sunk it will never be removed.
It’s only 10ft of water there so be careful.

Funny how it stayed afloat while it was anchored out. Was even pulled out of the marsh once. Last week it was floating in that spot where there is no grass. Now that it has gotten away from the grass it sinks. I’m thinking it was on purpose.

How about the sailboat in the grass across the river. It’s been there a couple weeks. It’s BS that there allowed to just sit there.

I could have hauled the one out since I have an empty trailer but had no way to go get it. Seems a waste to me just to let one sit until it sinks or ends up in the marsh. The sailboat without the mast is in craigslist for barter or free. I forget which one. The guy has the mast and sails at his house but didn’t mention a trailer. Think he said it needs some work done inside.

Ok, went back and looked it up. The sailboat is a 23’ live aboard that needs cleaning. Wants $4oo or trade for an old car or truck not running. Has mast and cushions but no trailer. It is listed under barter.

I know the guy, ‘owns’ both boats in the picture, leave it alone, let it play out and beware. He thinks he is Batman, not a trustworthy type. He started that mess of parking boats there. Nothing good comes from dealing with him!

Saved you a click

You can always make money but you cant make time.

I wander if this is this the guy that lives on that floating “shed” right there? I think somebody stole his yellow kyack a couple of weeks back based on the notes left at the landing. It is a shame those boats LITTER the river right there. no telling what has already sunk

Big ole dude? 300#+/- with a red beard? He was trying to swim to the dock one day, not doing so well against the current - I gave him a hand and took him to the dock.

Big ole ornery looking feller.

Better for the police to deal with…

I wasn’t gonna mess with it anyway. Can’t see the fun in a boat that leans a lot if the wind is blowing. Wasn’t gonna mess with the other one but could have helped someone out if they needed a way to get it out of the water. With that said if anybody needs to rent a trailer on a temporary basis so you can fix yours let me know. Mine will hold up to a 17’ and we could work something out.

I reported the orange boat when it first got grounded in the grass. DNR officer that followed up with me said he knew the owner and they were attempting to contact him. It a shame they dont have more power to protect the waterway.
