anyone been to the lagoon or flamingo area lately? reports? we’re headed down thus.
its so dead on here i hadta get something going.
I was suppose to head down Easter weekend and I had to bail.

I went tonight to try and find a tail here in Hilton Head. I might have kinda seen 1 or 2 but nothing to cast at. Plenty of water and warm, but the air was cold and the flat looked dead.

just got back from marathon. Got my first permit eat, but it was pretty dead for this time of year.

i will be back down in six weeks for the worm hatch and some ocean tarpon on fly. Brooks is coming down with the camera equipment. Hopefully we can finish our tarpon film, its only been 3 years…

NO lagoon report but I recently returned from Tampa and Pine Island and the fish are way behind for this time of year. Very little activity in the bay and the fish had tight lips in PI, may have been due to the recent full moon, but everyone said the fish are about 10 days behind where they normally are.
Far better it is to dare mighty things to win glorious triumphs even though checkered with failure, than to take ranks with those poor spirits who never enjoy much nor suffer much because they live in the grey twilight that knows not victory nor defeat.
