Ran into this guy casting different lures off the little jettie at the ramp the other night. Got to talking to him and turns out he goes down there to test his home made topwater lures to tune them and make adjustments. He’s a chef downtown and does this for a hobbie. We walked over to his truck to show me some he has made and he does some beautiful work.
It would take a broomstick with about 80 lb braid to cast it, but I sure would like to have one of these to try behind the zoo in the late spring/early summer. It felt like it was probably about 4-5 oz.
I didn’t even think to ask him that night, but I have his contact info and I’m going to see what he would charge for one of those. If anyone else is interested I’ll let you know what I find out. Maybe we can give him an order for a few.
They have some big spooks like that in lake world I think there like $35 .

TEAM LAID BACK
That’s why I am waiting on a price before I raise my hand for one. Have looked at them in lake world several times but cant pull the trigger.bif I am gonna spend that on a plug it’s gonna be a yo-zuri sashami bull (sound chamber version).
but if he wants to sell a solid chrome one with a black back for 10-12$ or 15$ w/owner trebles I would take a couple
Looks to be close to the size I make . I think this one is 11 inches and makes a fuss in the water when worked . I custom make them for people to the size they want and paint the color they want . Coated with clear epoxy .
Nice looking plug he has.
