Try breaking a mirror, petting a black cat, walking under a ladder, throwing your “luckiest” visor in the trash can, and humbly asking God for a good day on the water. Seriously, try it sometime.

so if you ask god for a good day on the water and you have a good day, then god shined his grace on you? but if you asked god for a good day on the water and your motor breaks, was god po’d at you? or would you spin it and say, even though our motor broke, god allowed the call to sea tow to go through so we got home safely?

I do give thanks to the Lord every am and it seems when I am in the woods on or the water is so peacefull and I can feel his presence around me even more.

thanks - thats what i meant
So, put your faith in a sun visor, then?
Got it. LOL. I suppse that makes sense to you.
Seriously, here’s a guy, who honestly thinks that wearing a certain sun visor affects his fishing success, criticizing my Faith in God? That is rich. Predictable, but very rich.
You weren’t saying that you thank God each morning either, Hoppy. If that’s what you meant, why not just say that? I have never, ever seen you say anything close to that. It would be refreshing if you did. You’ve been anti-God on this site for as long as I can remember. But you express faith in a piece of clothing.
Do you blame the hat if your motor breaks down? What if your TV goes out or you stub your toe while wearing it? Bad visor!! BAAAADDD visor!!
LOL. You know good and well you’d heckle me if I posted a thread about “fishing by Faith in God”, so don’t get all mad at me for finding some humor in your impotent little gods.

well lee - lets see, the title of this thread is called superstition, not faith in god.
and if my motor breaks down i typically blame some type of mechanical breakdown, not my visor or god. i bet when you take a successfull shower in the morning you do thank god for it all working out ok.
and thanks for letting me know how i worship god.
I don’t know how you worship god, Hoppy. I was talking about how you always bash God and Christians for expressing their Faith. You ran poor Michael Driggers off on his very first post–a fishing report–for merely saying that he thanked God for a good day on the water and for narrowly escaping an accident that day. That was sooooo offensive, wasn’t it? You see, I think you actually do put some faith in that visor. I think you really do think twice about which one you’ll wear and whether it will affect your fishing. And I find that comical since you ridicule people of Faith so much. That’s all.

thanks for the snyposis of my faith in god. its good to know you are such a deep and clairvoyant person that you have the ability to know and understand other peoples faith and how they worship. good job lee.

First, you really need to lighten up.
Second, WOW, it’s like you’re talking to yourself in a mirror. LOL. That is you all the way, my man. How could you not see it? I think you do, as you’ve been judging, criticizing, and mocking others’ Faith and form of worship of God for years here, Hoppy.
No clairvoyance on my part, and none necessary. Your words are clear. Synopsis of your Faith in God?? Where? I made none. I’m talking about your faith in a sun visor. Please, tell us more. LOL.
Hoppy, I’ve just been reciting what you’ve said, man, and my perception of it. I’ve just been reading what you’ve written over the years, Hoppy, and reciting the “synopsis” of IT–what YOU have said, yourself–here, my man. I’ve never said anything about your Faith in God or how you worship Him or do not, BTW. Don’t confuse me with yourself. It’s you in the judge’s chair, typically, on that issue, as it is here. You are the one who seems to enjoy judging and mocking others’ faith, and always have.
I only expressed my own “lucky charm”–and in a humorous way–since you asked, and you jumped on me and my Faith. Talk about taking the bait. LOL! I said nothing about or to you. You started the mocking and judging of someone’s Faith here, Hoppy–you, as usual. Now, you’re whining?? Rich, I tell you.
I just recited your typical and historical actions/words here, and did so only in response to your criticism. That’s all. If it offends you, you probably shouldn’t have written all that Christian-bashing stuff so many times.
Blame yourself, Hoppy,
wasnt it you a couple of years ago who told me i wasnt a christian and was going to hell, and recanted after i called yo on it??
and here is another example of you bringin a downer to something jovial. a fun little thread that had gone 3 pages about fishing superstition (and who is more superstitios than a bunch of fishermen). people chiming in nice and light heartedly and you have to come along and inject your reborn again christianship into it.
whatever you say lee. you win. you took the fun out of it again

</font id=“quote”></blockquote id=“quote”>NOPE!! That was NOT me. Does that make you a liar or will you apologize for speaking false things about me?
I stand ready to forgive you if you recant your false statement.

No sir! Read my original post–quite light and humorous, indeed, and intended to be so!

</font id=“quote”></blockquote id=“quote”>So, AGAIN, this is you speaking to yourself in a mirror, Hoppy.
I is YOU who brought a downer to something that was otherwise light and humorous. You responded with an argument. It’s not all that different from the time you beat poor M Driggers into the dirt and ran him forever off of this site for simply thanking Go
Not gonna get caught up in the religious discussion here, everyone has their own beliefs, etc… I will say this, I would wear a fruit basket on my head if it helped me catch fish.
yes lee - it was you that told me i was not a christian and was going to hell. i clearly remember that, and like you, there are somethings i wont forget, that bein one of them. it was lol when you actually recanted your statement. i believe the term hypocrite was brought into use, but of course you denied it.
