yes lee - it was you that told me i was not a christian and was going to hell. i clearly remember that, and like you, there are somethings i wont forget, that bein one of them. it was lol when you actually recanted your statement. i believe the term hypocrite was brought into use, but of course you denied it.
That is a lie–a bald-faced lie–Hoppy. I never, ever told you any such thing. Please produce said statement. You need to get your facts straight, man. You just spoke a huge lie. But that’s you: seeking to destroy people of Faith. Same old thing.
On the contrary, though, you said something along the lines that you can’t stand people who talk about God outside of church. That’s why, as you said, you assaulted Michael Driggers (and so many others) so hard. You’ve been on the offensive sine day one on this issue, Hoppy, and you know it.
I can’t even make a light and humorous comment without you turning it into a fight.
BTW, you want to talk about hypocrisy. Let’s talk about whining and griping about people coming within 500 yards of you while you’re fishing, cussing them publicly (people who may have even been novices who didn’t even know what they were doing), and then, soon after, running all over someone’s lines, youself, rudely crowding in and spoiling their spot while they were fishing, within mere feet of them, only to argue about it defensively and come back later saying “we all need to be a little more tolerant of people who want to fish near us; share the water”. Pffft. I know the guy personally who you did this to. You are amazing.

you are a bold faced liar. who else would have said on here it??
NOT ME! Must have been someone else, but I never said that to you. You are wrong. Produce the statement/quote, please.
BTW, are you drinking?
And I love that manner of logic: “who else would have…” Man, you should be a DA! You could bust the bad guys with the “who else would have done it” ploy!
Serious, man, you are sticking to a lie based on “who else would have said it” logic. You prove, by saying that, that you are reaching.
You are wrong, Hoppy–100% WRONG. I never said such a thing to you, nor would I. You in such bad form here, man–using lies to destroy someone. That’s pretty pathetic.
I would have understandably chalked this one up to you just remembering it wrong because there were a number of people “on my side” of the argument back then, and it was a long time ago, but you insist on clinging to a false accusation. If I recall correctly, you accused DR of having made this same statement a while back. Now, you use it on me. Why am I not surprised?

Yes, I am 100% correct on this, Hoppy. I know what I say to people, and I didn’t say that to you, and I remember you accusing DR of saying this before. Who said it, or if they said it, I do not know for sure. But now, you use it on me because you think it’s a big bomb or something, but it’s only a lie. You can be a smart aleck all you want about it, but you just recited a lie about me.
Same old hoppy: trying to destroy people of Faith for merely mentioning God in a positive light.
If your apology were sincere, I would gladly forgive. I will anyway, but I won’t sit by and allow you to spew such lies uncontested.

lee i said you win. i’m a liar and you are 100% correct. and you’re also correct that i’m trying to destroy eople of faith. thanks for making my point again.
Try breaking a mirror, petting a black cat, walking under a ladder, throwing your “luckiest” visor in the trash can, and humbly asking God for a good day on the water. Seriously, try it sometime.

Let’s see. An amen at the dock, a toast to the ocean out of the first beer by all onboard, my autographed Capt. Norm Issacs hat and oh yes, a couple of dollar bills thrown in the ocean when fishing starts. Seems to work for me.

i think there should be a seperation of church and fishing on this site. it has worked for our country(except texas), maybe it can work for this site.
For the luck, i prefer a nice blow on the ole tuna whistle, or a removal of my left shoe/flipflop. Also, i am never overly enthusiatic the night before a trip. i think fish can smell enthusiasm and they swim far away from it.
