Went out to Folly and did some surf fishing facing the Morris Island Lighthouse. It was a fished the top of the incoming tide until dark and caught one little shark on cut mullet. Is it getting too late for reds in the surf? Or am I just in the wrong spot?
Anything that pulls drag, right?
Not familiar with the area but I’ve always found reds in the surf near inlets all the way through water temps in the upper 50s
If you can look at the spot on low tide mark the areas of bottom that will channel the bait in or out with the tide.
Sometimes an eight inch drop on a bar is all you need. If you find one steeper even better. The baits follow the current so the reds do the same. Make sure your casts are on the drop and good luck!
