Took workers out for a cloudy afternoon of surf fishing.
Plenty of mullet for bait.
Set up at low tide in a bottle neck sandbar where tide was still flowing out.
As tide rose caught 3 reds around 25” 2 flounder 1 20” 1 14” and all the blues we wanted to real in.
Cut bait yielded blues almost immediately used live mullet for reds and flounder. Missed a few big hits but had a blast.
Water temp will be on the way down so not much more time to get on them so get out there!
Where is the access for this area?
North end of pawleys island has a boat ramp. Drop boat and motor north to south end of Litchfield.
I always park behind where the dune grass stops and turns to sand.
Take cart to the beach where there is some kind of current in or out of inlet with some kind of channel and drop in the sand level
Fish an hour or two before dead low tide then the incoming.
It’s also about a twenty minute walk from public accesses on S. Litchfield
