Found some over slots in the surf Saturday. Tide coming in. Sight casted to several with sub-surface plugs. Many almost beached themselves chasing finger mullet. Caught and released 8 between 23-32". Used soft plastics, plugs, and cut mullet. I was blown away that the water was clear enough to use artificials. Was not the plan going in. Just wanted to hook my girl up on a big one. She said it was her favorite fishing day in our few years together. Mission accomplished.

Didn’t want to get these boys too riled up here she is with her own feesh. We would have gone out again today if it weren’t for a forecast of “damaging winds, downpours and large hail” this early morning through evening. Mmmmhmmm, riiiight

Haha that’s a theory that I can get behind. I do consider myself a VERY lucky man for two reasons. 1.For us to find these fish and 2 (much much luckier) because she said “yes” to that question that makes your knees buckle.
