Suzuki 175

I would greatly appreciate anyone’s input on the newer Suzuki outboards. Specifically the 175. All I have ever owned are Yamaha engines and have been totally satisfied with them. However, I am looking to purchase a new rig and it happens to have a
Suzuki. Any input would be great.
Thanks

I have a 2017 Suzuki 175 and have had no complaints, very quiet, fuel efficient and plenty of power for my 20’ CC Key West. Last Year I sold my Mako 243 that also had 2007 Twin Suzuki 175’s and did not have any complaints with them either. Hope this helps

I have a friend that owns a boat dealership. He sells Yamaha but said the only reason he doesn’t carry Suzuki is that their U.S. parts network is somewhat lacking compared to other companies (takes longer to get some parts, etc.). Otherwise he has nothing but good things about zukes.

“Apathy is the Glove into Which Evil Slips It’s Hand”, but really, who cares?

I had a 90HP 'zuke. I bought it new and beat on it for 5 years with no issues (except the water in fuel…). My buddy had a 140 with similar success. I would buy another one without a second thought.
