I have a 1998 Suzuki 70hp 4stroke and the check engine light came on yesterday afternoon. It flashes once, pauses and then flashes four times. I’m assuming it is a code 14. Anybody have any ideas on what that may mean? Other than the light, the engine runs great.
Your hours on the motor says it’s time for a service like oil change etc.

I think there must be something else to it than that. I’ve had this engine since day one and I’ve never had a check engine light before. But if your right how do I reset the code after changing the oil?
So today I change the engine oil, foot oil, and spark plugs and still have the light. Anybody???
I did find online that you can reset the light by cycling the kill switch three times right after turning the key on & I tried that but no luck.
