I broke a cardinal rule yesterday…NEVER LEAVE FISH TO FIND FISH! We (Kyle, Trent, Steve) dropped the spread in at daybreak at SW bank, water looked fishy with broken weed. Had three knockdowns in the first 30 minutes, with one being a very large …something? (ripped 500 yds of 150 lb braid, off a 9/0 precision auto reel with 40 lbs of drag, looked like it was in free spool! I was pulling a 24 ounce Capt. Harry Guahra lure with meat). I wanted to catch a tuna, so we trolled to the hole with the rest of the fleet…big mistake! not one hit! I blamed wrong speed, to big of ballyhoo, to short leaders…everything! We should have never left SW bank and the hungry fish! We did manage a dolphin on on a butterfly jig, and got a box of bottom fish. So I take the blame for that screw up, and I am just glad it is early in the season. Good job to skinny, Brainstorm, Aggressor, it was fun to just be at the hole again, and I am looking forward to a great spring. Did get this pretty fish on a cigar minnow

NMFS = No More Fishing Season
“Back home we got a taxidermy man. He gonna have a heart attack when he see what I brung him”
I heard you talking to Carla Dee on the radio one time, but you sounded far away. Didn’t realize you were closer to us. If it makes you feel any better, we spent a few hours at the banks too and didn’t get a bite down there. It did look fishy though. Had a nice edge, lots of birds, grass, etc. Congrats on your pretty gag though.

Well done - terrific fish! Now I’m really sorry I didn’t get out Tuesday. By the way, how come I don’t see fish like that when you’re in my boat???
Nice fish sells. I’m back in town for quite a while now. No missions available for quite a while it seems. I’m itchin’ to learn something man. Give me a call whenever you need an inexperienced hand! Ha ha ha.
