SW Banks 8/6/07

Went straight out and started fishing around 120’. Weeds were scattered everywhere and spent a lot of time clearing lines. Lost a heartbreaker slob mahi right at the stern. Tried to stay with the weeds but it was workin’ us too hard so we pushed on out to 200-300’.
Got a double hooked mahi about 23lbs and a king about 10lbs. The was a hungry Mahi…he went airborne on the flatlines right behind the wake, snatched a lure, went airborne again, then snatched the second flatline. Both hooked him solid. There’s 6-7 ‘cuda that won’t bother ya’ll anymore too. The right in right into that
west wind was ugly…but it’s always better fishin’ than not…
