SW Banks and GT Hole Thursday

Sorry for the late post, took me all day yesterday to detox and remember my password! Lines in a mile shy of SW banks at 7:20, first king (chartreuse switch and hoo combo on longrigger) in the boat ten minutes later. 3-4 more knockdowns and tons of scattered weed line clearing in the 200-300 foot range. Got tired of it and ran to GT hole. No weeds!!!Great wahoo/king/cuda bite between 11 and 1:00. Boated 27 lb and 38 lb wahoo, 17 lb king, 3 cudas and lost half dozen other toothy critters. Kings preferred chartreuse, wahoo red and black and blue and white Islander/hoo combos both down deep and up top. Take home message for the day…do not re-use trailer hooks…they break off at the eye with a good fish on! Bottom bumped some in the afternoon mostly jigging up ajs, and a 12 lb gag. Squidded up some huge triggers and a 1 1/2 sand tilefish - wow are they tasty! Water was awesome, 30 knots each way and between 82 and 84 degrees.

Good post. Like it when its just the facts and details that we can all use.
