SW banks/GT Hole Saturday

Yesterday we should have just left the rods at home and enjoyed the ride. Flat beautiful ocean with nothing happening for us from SW Banks and GT Hole except for one blackfin we jigged up somewhere in between that morphed into a bonito at boat side! Lots of scattered weed in shallow with turtles, leaping molas, cruising hammerheads and flippers and an uprooted palmetto tree with a swarm of a 60 or so pre-peanuts under it which were totally uninterested. At the first 3 drops we exchanged tackle for sharp noses before finally dialing in enough beeliners etc for dinner. It wasn’t til we hit the dock that the bite really turned on - (**() those gnats! I guess you have to pay your dues every now and then and I’m just glad we got to pay them on such a beautiful day!
