arghh… she was an angry sea, but hey that wasn’t a surprise or anything- was it… we fished SW banks and my good friend “Grady” caught his first wahoo on his new ride, 24’ everglades… we’ve been itching to go and for whatever reason, mostly work, been unable. committed to tuesday knowing it would be sloppy and yep it was. big wind shift around noon gave us head-on seas coming and going. but hey, we survived, and got mr. hoo being steaked out today. Hculler… this is russ from your hometown… Grady is in the pic…ya’ll probably don’t know him but he’s one of those jambi(sp?), jumbo- large humans… ended up with 2 of those and some trashy stuff… later on ya’ll.

yall see the tail on that fish… all beat up and a little bloody. i was thinking that maybe it was a female and that she spawned her eggs on the bottom or maybe a male and they’ve been fighting over the fems… there was no roe in the fish… not a biggie just wondering if any of u could clue me in. btw, it was not tail wrapped- nice clean hook set.
the tail is most likely all banged up b/c she had been in the fishbox thrashing around. the gill plate is also banged up for the same reason.

How about that HOO RUSS…nice job…we were out Tuesday as well and the sea was definately angry…we caught a few fish early which is always a good distraction.
