Well I wanted everybody here to know that we got into shooting range again on 2 mature Toms by 8:30 this morning…but another hen came in and spoiled the party! This time I had both girls with me trying to fulfill another memory, mostly trying to fill a turkey tag in reality. At 6:30 the first bird gobbled and then another and so on. 5 different birds were hammering this morning and 3 were roosted in the now flooded timber and I quickly realized that I physically cannot tote 2 girls plus gear through the water so those were left undisturbed. The other two however were accessible through a little wading. Chased these birds for an hour and forty minutes to have another invisible hen spoil the party. We did everything right including getting into their strut zone before them and had them coming on a string and heckling henny took em away to dance another day. Also got to see a big old sal hog pushing 300 lbs. and the youngens thought that we needed to head the opposite direction. Birds put my two girls through swamp turkey boot camp and walked 2 miles and rode another 2 as well. But I am proud of the youngest one the most since she seemed to learn how to fine tune her ears and locate these birds better than me when they were gobbling! Another great hunt!!!
I love these post.Keep it up papa, you are doing great.

I told my girls that you will often hear a few people say that hunting is easy, but every time you ask a turkey hunter that same question in regards to turkey hunting, they all say it ain’t ever easy!!! Asked my lead toter if she was ready to give up turkey hunting yet and the reply that I got was “It may be a challenge dad but man am I hooked!”
“If you can’t fix a woman, chase some tail with fins and fur!!!”
