Swimming Offshore

you ask why we jump out of a perfectly good airplane? Well let me assure you that this airplane is not perfectly safe and you're better off jumping out than landing in it

That must be part of Jump Master school, heard that one once or twice. And you’re right Larry, biggest./best adrenalin rush ever.

^^ He looks nice enough…

I had to jump in one time to cut a teaser out of the wheel. As I was coming out a small shark came up and I got in the boat quick as I could. I was worried about the mama shark though…

I have seen hammerheads in excess of 12 feet out there several times, even fought one on a 50W for 1.5 hours, man were we bummed when that thing came up.

I think I would be open to jumping in with the camera for some footage but I don’t think I would stay long.

RDW, I don’t dive with fish (bait) attached to my person at anytime! Nor will I dive with a partner that insists on doing so. Its the same thing jumping in the water with a fish on the line. The signals that a fish sends out while in distress is received by all predators that the dinner table is set! Much wiser to use a painters pole with a Go Pro. Last diver killed in Fla bleed out after a Bull grabbed a Sheepshead attached to a stringer on his belt and cut his calf open. The crew could not stop the bleeding before they could get him to the hill. The young James Island boy that was recently lost at the Chas 60 was devoured, postmortem, by every fish on the site, requiring a DNA test as the only thing recovered was his backbone,10 days later. We do bag our Bugs and carry them for a few min as all the noise they make tend to pull in the Hog fish and very large Grouper to the dinner bell.

If it got any better I couldn’t stand it.

I jump into cool off but I am not sure my shoulders have ever gotten wet…in and out
