t-top cover on a lift - sandbags?

I now have a new item to add to my list of “top 10 scariest things done on a boat.” Tried to put my t-top cover on my boat while on a lift, in preparation for all the rain that is coming. Just started storing my boat in a lift that rest about 10 feet over the water. The lift has 10 inch wide walkway on either side of the boat. I tried tethering the cover to the walkway, but the walkway isn’t low enough to pull the cover down. This in combination with the stiff breeze and the 10 foot drop made me realize i need a new solution. I think t-top covers makes some sandbags that you can fasten to each of the buckles. I think this would make it easier to install. Anyone use these? Do they offer enough weight to keep the cover on in the wind?

I use 4 bags on mine from t-top covers and it works great. Have had it on during all the storms lately…having said that, not sure about a tropical storm.

Thanks, Two. I’ll call T-top covers and see what they recommend. If you’ve been using just 4 through all these storms, the sandbags do much better than I thought.
