My Shrimping Tags finally came and I am so past ready to come down to Charleston and shrimp off my new boat this year. Got my poles from last still and about to sticker them up. Honestly I made mine out of PVC and they are still holding up after 2 years of Shrimping. Anyone else out there using PVC for there poles. Also I see there are not a lot of reports. Are there good catches out there and people just keeping there catch amount a secret or something. Anyways, good luck to everyone…

T, the reports are very hit or miss early this season…skinneej and I are fully hoping for an awesome second half to the season, otherwise they’re gonna run us out of here…I’ve had the same PVC poles for 5-6 seasons and they are holding up fine…this weekend might be a bit breezy and wet but I’d def keep an eye to the reports and come down when you can…good luck and hoping for full coolers for you…

I’ve got the same 10 foot PVC poles I,ve had for 25 years! A pointed 10 inch all thread spike inserted into a heated end and there you are! Sticks into any substrate! I don’t shrimp in water over 6 feet deep! Deep waster creaks close to the ocean are where they hold up!

Hey Bonzo72. How is it going. Yeah hit and miss, that’s shrimping and fishing for you. Yeah I will try in October to come down a few times. I have a spot I was secretly told about a few years ago I haven’t tried and dying to do so. Also have another spot I shrimped before and haven’t heard no one mention it yet so that could be a good thing or bad thing. Will hit you up when we come down. Have a few people that wanna try it with me this year

That’s a long time slimy. You must have made them real good. Besides chopping one up with my prop, mine have done pretty good. Only part I don’t like is the fleamsy action when that current start rolling good.
