I have been browsing this site for a while and thought i would contribute a little. Here are a few fish that i have taken over the summer. The dupre spoonfly has been the ticket. Get out and enjoy these big tides before its to late.

I had that same Loomis reel and it gave me hell. I had it free spool during a fight a couple times and then it just seized up. It never was dunked and I kept it clean. Have you had any similar experiences? I got fed up and purchased a Lamson on sale from Sierra Trading Post. No issues yet with this rig.

TRS this is the second venture i have owned. the first had the same problem. It would constantly freespool. This was a while back when it happened but at the time loomis was greasing up the drag to much and it effected the reel. This was my understanding of the problem. Long story short i got a replacement free of charge and have had no complaints since. It does the job until i can upgrade.
