watched the thunderstorms roll thru about 4:30 today and decided it would be a good night to wade in the grass. it always seems like I see more fish after an afternoon rain. got there right when the water started creeping in and saw some fish immediately, but they were in grass that was too thick for the dupre spoon fly. bait was everywhere. no wind, and the conditions were perfect for seeing every blade of grass move when a fish was coming thru- makes you realize how many fish you probably don’t see when the wind is blowing. saw probably 7 or 8 fish and caught a nice 36" that took me into the backing. blue dupre spoon fly has been the ticket this year. didn’t take a pic b/c I was a good ways out and was worried about reviving him. fortunately he swam of none the worse for wear. great night to be out.
Will you take a picture of the fly ??

not at home right now. go to orlandooutfitters.com or google it. color doesn’t seem to make a huge difference, but I have never tried the green. standbys are blue one & pewter one. main problem is that the weedguard seems to break off after a few fish.
I wish they made bigger ones for bigger fish.
I could probably create you a bigger one if it is something you would like
