seen flounder that have survived some pretty amazing things, never saw this till last Friday. set the hook, fish spun around in a circle 3x and I lifted her out of the water- no fight to speak of, obviously. the lost scales and most of the redness are from flopping around on shore, the wound was completely healed. 16.5", should’ve been more like 19.
I do wonder if she’d have been able to make an offshore spawning migration next time around. Moot now

when they get stuck in a crab trap, the crabs eat the tails and fins first. I see two or three a week in my traps like that, most are dead.
