Pallet,MayMay,Chunky,Tooth, and Hard Rock wanting to give up on their day jobs to become professional fisherman, decide that they want to fish in the tailwalker tournament. They talk Gman into taking them out on the Split Decision to take home the big dolphin money. We ended up catching a 33 lb. dolphin that was good for 2nd place. We had a great time with some great fellowship down in Georgetown.
150 dollars for bait
800 dollars for gas

Congrats splitdecision!!
Wish I could have been there. Probably best that I was not, cause we surely would have knocked you out of the money!

Got to give a hats off to Pallet for hooking me up with so much Dolphin meat yesterday. I gave most of it to the in-laws and you would have thought they won the lottery. Ole Pallet and Chunky are good people. They talk some trash but at the end of the day you will not find a better crew.
BTW, nice dolphin but split, did you see the shark they brought home yesterday? That thing was a stud!!! I will post some pics later on of him. Pallet gave me a bunch of his meat as well that will go into a fish stew for work!
Nice weekend, not a bad start to this tourney fishing thing. I am thinking Big Rock next year!

Here is one of the pics MayMay sent of Pallet working the gaff and the shark. Hey Phin, that is one of your 50W Avets that he was caught on in the pic with him!

Who was it that caught the tuna? I think only 1 was weighed in.
AWSOME PICS Split!!!

Since I can not add any advise to your fishing skills after a day like that. I will give you a CF posting pro tip.

I don't know any details about the shark.Chunky and Pallet decided to try a few hours of shark fishing with some old ballyhoo left over from the TWT.They fished out behind some shrimp boats on sunday.

Not really sure. I could guess but I am sure I would be wrong and it is probably some rare almost extinct shark that carries a $10k fine, I would have all the tree huggers riding their case.
Pallet gave me the fillets for my work crowd. The Judge has a good catfish stew recipe that shark goes well with. I have cooked it a couple of times for friends and family and they swear it has grouper or snapper in it. Oh the uneducated taste buds.
BTW, it was #85 according to the All Rise deer/fish scale.
Pallet’s girl friend caught him and Chunky put in the first gaff shot. The fish was still green and after a second gaff came on board in a very BAD mood. The crew cleard the deck as he began to destroy the boat. Broke the spreader lights off the T-top. One of lifes little lessons I guess.
