Set the trap boys, we going to pass through them again!!
Ha!
I just try to go as much as possible, and I try to help the crew have a great experience. We didn’t tear the fishies up, and we had a terrible ride in, but I feel we did have a good time, no less!
I plan to take my sick Miss Amanda to the shop this week. I can’t wait to get back out there on her!!

It’s a good spot. I didn’t want to forget where it was, so I marked an “X” on the side of the boat!!

Pretty fish! Nice work! I would think that your weight estimate (50-60lb) range is right on the money. That’s a good one. Congrats!
Thanks skinnee. I have to say I’m jealous of some of the amazing fishing you must be getting to do down there.
You haven't missed much yet. Thinks are just now starting to heat up. Swordfish, Wahoo, Sailfish all starting right now, but your hoo was bigger than the ones we got. Congrats again! You fish was a "daymaker" for sure.

Rick, I took her to the shop today. I hope to find out something in a day or two. The engine sounded strong as ever, it just wouldn’t go past 3k rpms and 8-10mph. From close to the rocks on in the rest of the way, it did let us go about 20mph. Obviously, we would have used more fuel if we could run it normal, but we were still turning 3k and plowing. So, we still would have had pretty good fuel mileage for going to the hole and back…
It was still a fun day, and we were not skunked!!

Thanks Jason!! It was not a record or even close to some of the big ones caught lately, but it was one of the bigger ones to be landed on my boat, and the biggest for Adam(which makes it pretty sweet)!!

Glad you guys made it safe. I was in Tampa on business but was being briefed on the situation. I overheard the “we’re in shem creek vhf call” while getting another update. Marisa had things well under control with a captain standing by and calls to the ladies. My largest wahoo was 55lbs, man that is a fun fish! Congrats. Hope the fix is simple and inexpensive. Marisa says “Thanks for the shout out”
Thanks Capt. Steve. It sure was fun reeling in that big guy. I’ve got the itch now . . . . I wanna head back out and go hunt down another one SOON!!!
Capt. Steve, as a pilot, I go crazy when my radio doesn’t work or is faulty. In my occupation, I’ve grown to be very dependent on that lifeline a radio provides. Having that communication with Marisa set my heart right at ease that day. Then you throw in her demeanor, her willingness, and calmness with us . . . . we couldn’t have asked for a better help at the other end of the radio. There was a time where the wind was blowing so strong she couldn’t understand us. She never once got agitated or mad with us, kept trying until we were able to talk clearly. Given our circumstances, it was the best thing we could have had. Tell her thanks again for us.
