HELP ! ! !

I am going down June 11-23. Plan on doing a fair amount of beach fishing. I need ALL the help I can find.

Please PM or email me at crmcman@knology.net

THANK YOU

What do you want to target? If you are looking for Snook and Reds, you need to fish the northside rocks of Dunedin Pass. Live shrimp and mud minnows on a fast moving tide. Fish the eddy’e at the tips.(E & W)
If you want some trout action, you can’t beat wading around the islands between Tierra Verde and Fort Desoto park. Another good spot is the grass flats along the west side of the Skyway Bridge between the first and second bridge. Hope this helps!!

Again, what is your target fish and where are you staying? We just returned from Anna Maria Island and invited a group of Spanish Mackeral to a SC Memorial Day fishfry.

I’d rather fish than eat.

A gun in the hand is better than a cop on the phone.

My Target: I have caught alot of reds and trout here. I would like to shoot for more permit, jacks, snook and tarpon. I am not looking to keep the fish. I am traveling and just not set up to handle them properly.

We are staying in Bradenton. Specificly I will be at I-75 and Universary Ave.

I am taking two 6ft rods, with a small and medium reel. Fly rod, 8ft lighter cast net.

I was hopingto buy sand fleas and throw the net for greenback or something.

Passage Key and Passage key inlet!!! Your best bet is to spend a couple bucks and hire an Inshore. Tarpon are moving up from Boca and will be getting thick in the passes. Fish the drop offs for snook and jacks. you can get all the sand fleas you want with a flower sifter from walmart. Take a big scoop as the wave recedes and wash it out.

Check out this guy when you get down there: tampabayonthefly.com
I was working out of an office down there for a month late last summer and used my evenings to wade the shallows and get out of the hotel. The fella that owns the place just opened it up last year and was extremely nice and very helpful. We looked at a free map he had and he pointed me in the right directions for places I could park and walk/wade to.

Thanks for all the help ! I would really like to get a guide or three, but moma got me on a leash with the fund if you understand. $ 450.00 for 4 hours is steap.
