Anyone familiar with Tampa FL area?

What are the Haddrell’s and Charleston Angler’s of the Tampa area?

Thanks

Dave, I have a good friend in the Tampa area, I’ll check with him and get back to you. He owns Rick’s Reel Service and has lived in that area most of his life. Are you heading down that way anytime soon?

Thanks, yes this weekend

Dave, here are 2 shops he recommends.

Tampa Fishing Outfitters in Tampa and

Tarpon Fishing Outfitters in Holiday, Fl.

Good luck!

you can also check out TA Mahoney’s. But it’s more of a service/supplies place. But they have tackle too.

When I lived in Tampa, there wasn’t anything like Haddrell’s. At least to my knowledge at the time. If there was, I would have caught more fish.

Thanks everyone!

The Blind Squirrel in a Flats Boat

Bill Jacksons in Pinellas Park is a very cool store. Otherwise Tfo.

Gandy bait and tackle used to be the place to find out what was going on. havent been down there in years, though.

Gandy is pretty sweet. the bay there is so large it all depends on where youre staying and fishing! totally neat and eye opening fishing down there

So, did you catch anything or was this just a recon trip?

There for soccer (son). Always got to recon! Tbh I did make a few casts but not even a splash

Great, glad it worked out. I’ll be sure and tell my friend.

If you ever go back, check out Fisherman’s Ideal Supply House. It’s close to Madeira Beach and worth the drive from Tampa.

It’s a great store, I went in just looking and came out with an armful of gear for way cheaper than anywhere else.

I stopped by Tampa fishing outfitters today! Real nice store and friendly staff. A must visit if you head to the tampa area.

Thanks,
Paul
