Replace any nylock nuts you remove if you are not using lock-washers. Those nylocks wear out after being taken off and on more than once and will loosen faster than you think, inexpensive for peace of mind!
Thanks Stump and everyone.
I was told to drill out a larger hole, fill with epoxy, let that cure, then drill out the correct size hole.
Do y’all think that is necessary, was thinking about simply drilling hole, replace nylon bolts and washers and use a sealant in the hole.
cheers and thx

Hey:
There are no holes currently, the repair fixed that area of the hatch so I’m starting fresh.
No on Horned Toads, but, we were watching a couple of Great horned Owls the other night, very cool. Where are you seeing the toads?
btw - we arent on SI, our house backs up to the marsh behind SI.
cheers

Without seeing what you have,it’s hard to say,but you can always comeback with the epoxy if need be.I always build/repair my equipment as if it was going in on D-day because of the animals that go with me or borrow it.haha.It’s been awhile but the horned toads we caught were near fort moultrie area.good luck to ya.

Thank you sir, put the hatches on by simply drilling out the hole, and sealant with screws. As you say, i can always do the epoxy thing, but they seem v solid.
Thanks
