Tarpon 120 Kayak question

New to kayaking. I bought an older model Tarpon 120 at the Pawn Shop. Got it for $375 but it doesn’t have a seat or paddle. So now I’m in the market for something. Anyone have any suggestion on where to find these on a poor man’s budget? Is $375 a decent price for that kayak or did I get ripped? Thanks in advance.

I think you got a decent deal. Hard to say without seeing the yak. I would advise getting as comfortable a seat as you can afford. I wouldn’t spend a ton on a paddle. Fiberglass shaft with plastic blades will work fine and you won’t cry if it gets scratched up, as it will.

If you’re lucky enough to be fishing, you’re lucky enough.

Not a ad deal. They are around $1000 new. Go see Dave at Time Out Sports, Mount Pleasent (843) 388-2660 . Tell him Chris Davis sent you, he will set you up right.

I got a Tarpon 120, it is a great fishing kayak. You can easily get a seat and paddle. Get the replacement seat from Wilderness Systems, I bet you can get one off Amazon. And you can get paddles anywhere, don’t have to buy the high dollar ones.
I got my boat at an end of year sale had to pay about $675 for it, so you did GREAT even with out the seat.

A seat doesn’t have to break the bank. You can get surprisingly comfortable with just a low narrow back strap. La-Z-Boys are for living rooms

A Crack of Dawn seat with a gel pad bottom give all day comfort for around $100

Boat drinks, Waitress I need 2 more boat drinks!
