I’m not a Yakker but found this deal on the tarpon 16 that looks too good to pass up. I havn’t been able to find a single bad review on it and I think with a few accesories, it would be fishable. I wanted to see what you guys thought before I bought one, and also to pass along the deal!

T160’s are great kayaks. Add a Scotty up front, a couple of flush mounts on the back and strap on a milk crate… you’re good to go.
Beware that shipping a yak is EXPENSIVE. REI had a 1st quality kayak right before Christmas for $600, so the price is about right dor a 2nd or a year end closeout.
There is nothing - absolutely nothing- half so much worth doing as simply messing about in boats. Kenneth Grahame
Thanks,
I have a 20 percent off coupon which puts the least expensive model at my door for $600. I’ve always wanted to get closer to the water. Growing up in WV, we just waded the rivers for miles and short of getting in, I can’t think of a better way to get close to the action.
I’ll try renting one first to see how I do. Thanks a lot for your input.
