How do you guys up in Chuck rig for poons?
I usually fish 3 floats at different lengths behind the boat with 80# fluro leader and 8/0 circle hooks with snell knots. I use medium size live mullet (8 inch) and large menhadens. Usually have a bottom rig with a 4oz pyramid thrown off to the side. I try to fight through the sharks and wait for a bite. Only been once this year, but did boat one around 70#.
I like to float, free line, and one on the bottom. 80-100lbs mono leader. I use a gama 7/0 off centered circle hook. Anywhere from 1 oz to 2oz egg sinker. The deepest I fish is 15-20 ft deep at the jetties but most of the time I sit on a sandbar in 6 ft or less where it flows into a deep channel. How do you rig up for them up where you’re at? I been twice and got hooked up one day and saw one busting bait the next day.
60 pound fluero,30 pound shock,30 pound braid,free line live crab,thread,mendaden.

I use 65lb power pro to any 80-100 lb leader, #7 circle hook… One down, one mid on float, and a surface. They mostly eat mullet and menhayden here…
