Wondering if anyone has seen any tarpon around yet?

I think its still early. Im no expert but last year my hook up and sightings were later. When the big mullet run comes through in july-august (i think) is when theyll get here

so, when you get a tarpon (or any other large fish) from a peer how do you get him up onto the pier?

I’ve seen them in late May before.
Saw one free jump about a week and half ago in the S. Edisto near Edisto Beach, appeared to be about 5 feet long.
they’re here, according to a friend who’s trying it again tomorrow. he said yesterday they wouldn’t chew, just on the move…

There was a photo in the Sun News last Friday. Said it was gaffed because it was already dead from the fight.
Secrets out I guess, i got one last tuesday. Fished the same spot this past sun and they had pulled out. Mon I rode the ocean from the harbor to n edisto and saw VERY few schools of large mannies and no fish. Good numbers of fish should show up in the next couple weeks.
