Ok, so ive been on a major mission. Have done deveaux 3 times, price’s once and bulls twice but no luck. Did snag up something at prices that i saw topwatered a distribunce before it took bait and jumped, but it was really choppy and i was in my lil jon so as soon as my reel ran, i looked down to make sure i was grounded. when i looked up i saw the splash. i never saw the fish. it ran again and then snapped my line. 15-30 later i hooked a 3.5’ lil black tip and then 15 mins later another, so im assuming it was a shark on first catch. the splash wasnt big enough for the tarpon we get around here. We dont get the lil ones around here do we? only the bigger migrating ones right? so im not asking for fishing spots, just checking to see if anyones had the pleasure recently, but spots would be a bonus 
i hooked about a 50-70 pounder this year so yeah it is possible. ive had big black tips bust the float a couple times and jump. if it was a shark you bring in half a mullet, tarpon a scaled mullet.i practice in salt ponds that have tarpon, that way you can really get the feel.
