How do you catch tarpon and where? I have a baitrunner 8000D (300 yards of 50lb. braid) and I doubt you use a reel this big but a senator 4/0 (500 yards of 25lb. mono). All help will be appreciated thanks!

That bait runner is perfect. And the senator would do the job to. But you’ll probably want something more high speed.
Bait runner is great. Might wanna rerig with like 80lb mainline. If I were you and fishing them without a boat I’d focus on capt sams inlet/stono inlet from shore. I’m buildung my Jon boat now, ill invite you anytime to do some redfishn and maybe some tarpon later in if we git a shot at em.
