anybody seen any silverkings yet?
They been around for few weeks, I know of few being landed from folly pier actually.
Saw some up at North inlet in Georgetown last week. No luck on any hookups other than huge blacktips. 6-8’ sharks are all over north inlet. Can’t keep a bait in the water.

Rumor has it I saw a boat next to me hook up with one last Wednesday. Jumped twice with gills flared and dancing. It appeared he was under gunned from a rod and reel perspective…not sure but he broke off. Secret spot known for explosives…

Down here is where a signature goes but they can confuse and anger some people so I don’t have one.
Revived one between the jetties today. Found it floating in the tide line. Pulled it along with mouth open for a while and it swam off. Had a tag in it.

That must have been one of ours. We revived it for about 10 minutes and kicked off just fine. Glad you got her swimming again, thanks. We released it about 1130am in between jetties. Tarpon were all over the jetties on Saturday but gone now. I saw 5 hooked in about hour and half

I did see one gulp last week. and one freejumped 20 yards from my float last saturday. so that makes me better than you unless you got something i don’t know about.
my son said he launched two last week. and landed zero. but he lies like rug or Easy on a weekend bender. so take that for what it is

There was definitely something going on last Sat. and Sunday.
They were eating on Sunday a little farther to the north (Bulls Bay area). I hate to even say that I broke off two in 45 minutes. I opted not to submit a report and relive the misery.
Saw a carcass floating thru the Bulls Bay area yesterday afternoon. Only sign of a Tarpon I saw though.

If you hook a tarpon, fight it, it comes off, but dies from exhaustion, and then somebody sees it, does that count as a catch. Pea Pod?

so i sat in the inlets yesterday from 8-11 am. top, middle, bottom. big & small live hadens & mullet-floated, freelined, and weighted. fished in bait, away from bait, in ocean, away from ocean. all i got was sharks. lots of sharks
i did see one breach when i was topwater fishin at sunup
this year feels alot like last year.

went 0-0 last week (weekday) seen stergon all over the place but got skunked on everything… water temps were at 90.5 not a shark or red to be seen… tried spoons in afternoon on the waterline with nothing…
maybe in the next few weeks ill try again…
