in an area i like to take my kayak at i saw a ton of sharks and tarpon today and only caught sharks. i was using a wire leader with a squid skirt on it and sharks smack it quickly as do sail cats, but im yet to hook into a tarpon. i also have some 6" natural colored paddletails, a few big poppers, spoons, and jigs i can throw as well. anyone know if theyll hit either of those lures and im guessing rig up the menhaden on flourocarbon leader since they wont touch steel? any help is appreciated.
