Tarpon140 Question

I took my (new to me) Kayak out last week for a little paddle (no gear/I weigh 185lb). I was a little suprised to find my feet sitting in an inch or more of water. As I slid my weight back on to the rear of the boat the water ran out of the boat. My Question is this normal for the Tarpon?

Were the plugs in all the way? When you paddle water sometimes gets in.

If a man wakes up early to go fishing he 's sleep deprived, If a man wakes up late to go fishing he’s fish deprived

Do you find plugs standard equipment for the Tarpon ?

Up by your feet there are two scupper holes the plugs should have come with it, if not you can probably buy them separately.

yep

Told ya bro  foamy golf balls  I think the idea of the holes so if you get swamped you will only have 1/2" of water in the boat instead of all the water staying in. I just try to keep my butt dry  Plus any water that does get in make a pretty good live well for minnows…

“Carpe Diem” does not mean “Fish of the Day”…

Thanks for the feed back, I feel like a dumb “wet” butt:dizzy_face:.

Nikon, I will take your word for it next time, You were right.
I just thought, if you can’t catch fish, what would you know about pluging holes:smiley:…

To the quick you cut me!!! Didn’t see that coming…

That is pretty normal for those boats. The plugs help out alot. Havent seen those foamy golf balls before… not a bad idea.

Hey Blue fish, I have bought and use the yellow color coded scupper plugs that are designed for the I beleive the Ocean Kayaks. They sell them in red, yellow and blue. Bought them in FL fm Bass Pro shops. They have a pull cord, and are made of heavy duty rubber, sold in packs of four. Good luck. v/r tx :8ball:
