Last night, a buddy at work told me that a friend told him that we are going to have to register our trolling motors just like our outboards. Is there any truth to it? It’s bad enough that we’re paying property taxes on everything else we own. Now trolling motors? What’s next, fishfinders, GPS, rods & reels?

Bob, you don’t have to register the TM, but you do have to register any boat you are using it on…even if it is a canoe, or a jon boat with no other motor etc… Maybe that is what he may be confused about?
I sure hope so.

I knew that any boat with a motor, be it electric or gas, had to be registered. But he said the TM was going to be just like the outboard, sticker and all.
Gut Wrench- I don’t think I’ve been to Charleston since the 1st time I looked at your boat. Give me a call & let me know when your going to be there, I do need to take a motorcycle ride to the beach sometime. Weather permitting, maybe this weekend.
