Ten inches too short.........

in my garage opening height to be able to garage my new boat. I would prefer to be able to get someone to professionally “redesign” my center console hand rail so I could easily take off or hinge, etc. Probably will need help on the windshield as well. I live in the upstate but would be willing to take anywhere I felt would do good quality work. I don’t want to build another garage, change my existing garage, or put a boat cover on it if I can avoid it. Can anyone recommend someone ? Thanks !

Here are a bunch of suggestions from another website where a guy has sort of the same problem, but in his case…he only needs a 5.5" reduction in height.

Thanks Irobalo, I really appreciate you taking the time to post that link.
The best suggestions I saw were to make the windshield and CC grad rail a “quick release” or hinge/fold down system. It’s been done. My problem is I just don’t know who does that type of custom work.

Raymond Martin, Martin Marine Design. Hardeeville SC. You will not be disappointed. 803-784-6110 or info@martinmarinedesign.com

Thanks Captain Larry, I had actually sent you a PM yesterday concerning this. I will contact him.

Sorry, I didn’t get a PM from you  Oh well. Raymond is your man if you want it nice and done right. I’m not saying cheap, just saying right. Probably less than a new garage anyway  Tell him I sent you.

You should check with Happy Bob. I bet he can work something out and is a lot closer.

I called Happy Bob yesterday but he said he couldn’t do it. I contacted Martin Marine design today. Raymond sent some pictures of this type of work. Looked very professional…probably will be driving to Hardeeville soon. Thanks.

I would have liked to help, but other than welding it, I don’t have the means to work with stainless.
