Is there a quick way to check the gas to see if it is genuine ethanol free? Some stations say they are ethanol free,but they don’t do the blending.

Try this:

  1. Find a glass jar.
  2. Place water in it: about 10% - 20% of the jar’s capacity.
  3. Mark the jar where the water line is.
  4. Fill the jar the rest of the way with gasoline.
  5. Shake vigorously.
  6. Check the amount of water in the jar to see if it is higher than when you started.

**If there is alcohol in the fuel it will bind with the water and the level of the water will increase significantly.

I just ordered 10 test kits
I think they sell for $22
you put a drop of this chemical in the fuel, and if its ethanol, it changes color.
you can also add a little water to the test vial, and it will show you the percentage of ethanol
we should have them monday or tuesday
