Testing new kayaks

I’m in the market for a fishing kayak for myself and just one to paddle around in for my wife. We’ve rented a couple from Time Out Sports to take out tomorrow afternoon. We live in Hamlin (north Mt. Pleasant) and I was wondering if anyone had suggestions on where to put in and where we might want to head on our first time out. Thanks in advance.

Shem Creek isn’t bad. It will be busy so you may want to initially consider going up the creek as opposed to towards the harbor. Depends on how daring you feel. There is also a landing on Chandler Road (I believe) Paradise landing which puts you on the Wando River.

Paradise Landing… you’ll be able to park and it’s usually pretty tame up there.

Jeff, I just saw this post, and looked at your reservation. Give me a shout at the store, I have a few suggestions for you on locations and the boats you have reserved.
