ARMY - NAVY GAME
Not sure how many of you watch or even care but, today is the Army-Navy game. These teams may not always have winning records or play the best football but, this is the only time (including the Air Force Acad) when you will see young men that have committed not only to their football team but to their country. This game always holds a special place in our family as my father was a Naval Academy graduate and played football there until he suffered a career ending knee injury. I think of my Dad every day but, watching this game always brings a smile to my face and when they sing “Navy Blue & Gold” at the end of the game, I am teary-eyed.
The uniforms are usually special for this game, with Army & Navy specific themes and my sons like that. If you have the time, check it out, these are some very special young men.
