Thank you MAD Captains

The Charleston Chapter of Military Appreciation Day, Inc. would like to thank the 39 brave captains who put 110 Active Duty Troops on the water Nov. 12, and made our event a huge success. Boats left from almost every ramp in Charleston County, and thanks to PRC, we were able to have “Pier captains” and Troops fishing from both the Mt. Pleasant and Folly Beach piers. The Adventure Harbor Tours’ big pontoon boat transported six “Cart captains” and Troops to fish the surf on Morris Island.

After a long day of fishing, tired Captains and Troops were welcomed back to Rivers Edge Marina, where they were treated to a hot BBQ dinner from the Pioneer Smokers. There were door prizes for the Troops; four sets of cornhole boards and eighteen rod & reel combos.

Next year our event will be on Veterans Day, Nov. 11, 2017.

Thank you again for your support.

God bless America.

Definitely a worthwhile event! The smiles on those guys/gals faces are hard to beat! Next year will be a blast too I’m sure!
