Thanks CF.com

I feel like I’m one of the original members of CF…back in the day I’d follow the boards and when I had a question/comment my dad would ok it before I could post it under his name. Fifteen or so years later (I’m 28), I feel like a fairly accomplished saltwater angler…a lot of credit goes to good folks on here for helping me out along the way. Now when I meet people at the ramp or on the water we trade names, but more times than not, we exchange our CF screename as well!! I just wanted to take a second and give a big thank you to the Pickett brothers for starting this site. Saltwater anglers are a unique bunch to say the least, and as much as we pick on each other, if push came to shove,we’d be the first to get each others back. Thanks guys for the website, but we all know its more than that…its a CF family. Hope everyone is having a great week…hopefully I’ll have a report to share this weekend.

I am glad the site has had a positive impact on your fishing. We will take credit for starting this site, but the people who participate on the site have made it the success that it is today. Anglers in the Lowcountry and a great bunch. Sure they argue, pick on each other and carry on sometimes, but at the end of the day they do have each other’s backs out there on the water. We do have a great family here and I am always happy to meet people out in public that tell me how much they enjoy the site. Please do try and come to the oyster roast in January. You will meet some great folks and if you leave hungry it will be your own fault. There is more good food there and plenty packed up and taken home at the end of the day.
