Thanks Fogman!

I had the pleasure of going out with James this morning. I met him at the dam ramp at 06:30. The wind made it kind of tough for a while. We hit a few different spots & managed to get our limit by about 11:00 or so. We marked a lot of fish, but not many biting.
He gave me some pointers on the sonar and about striper fishing in general. All in all, a good day. Especially since I learned something.

Thanks Fog!

You’re welcome Bob! I enjoyed having you along. It was a slow pick of mostly 18-24 inches, but I’m glad you picked up a few things that might help. Now I’ve got to go out Tuesday and Thursday to see if I can find Team Hardcore some better tournament fish. It’s hard work but somebody’s got to do it:smiley:.

Find me some big catfish while you’re out there! You know how much fun they are for me to catch. Heard y’all hooked a big cat last Friday.

I caught and released a big bunch of nice green fish Saturday morning. At one point I’d caught 3 nice keepers in 4 casts. I was fishing for fun. Wish I’d been in a tournament with somebody willing to fish deep instead of shallow like most guys do! The shallow bite hasn’t worked for me in about 6 weeks. As soon as the sun gets up I move to deeper water.

After that I tried the perch again. Kept 20 of them in about an hour. Couldn’t keep them off of the Berry spoons. Lost a nice bass that was in with the perch. 22’ was where the bass bit that was with the perch.

We caught a 12 pound cat and an 8 on Friday while striper fishing. Also got our limit on stripes!
