I enjoyed Jason Bettinger’s update on the Striped Bass telemetry study last night. I had to leave early for a birthday dinner with Kelsey but it was great to see the data. Did he happen to mention any links where the 2013 report might be found? I have seen the 2011 and 2012 reports…

Great presentation indeed! The information on the travel habits of certain stripers was priceless. Overall, the telemetry study seems to be confirming what those of us who have fished the Hill the past several years have concluded. In summer, we are successful on either end of the lake. In fall, winter, and spring, stripers can be all over the lake and creeks. Still, if you want a chance at a lifetime trophy anytime of year, fish below the the Russel Dam. It’s usually “hero or zero” but sometimes worth the effort.
