I know people ask who’s a good mechanic and I thought I’d share my experience with Conrad , the owner of KT Enterprise at 5023 Rivers Avenue. I’ve been going to him for about 5 years now for everything from motorcycles, atvs, my truck, electronics and also my boat. I’m convinced that Conrad can fix anything with a motor. Here’s my story from earlier today.
My wife is in the truck with the trailer and The Day Tripper is rumbling to life. The boat is in the water and as I’m backing it away I see this weird black object bobbing in the water. WTH is that thing I wonder? One of the kids in my boat shouts oh, cool a tire and they all go after it. Thankfully they rescued the neat little bobbing tire. Surely that isn’t my tire because I just checked all four before I left the house… It cant be my tire, right? Wrong! I watch my wife pull my 3 wheeled trailer out of the water with the truck! How in the hell does a tire just float off my trailer!!?? I know my day is totally screwed and my wife is going to be pissed about sitting at the ramp fixing a trailer with me into the wee hours of the night.
Thoughts of grinding metal, torches, huge floor jacks, parts availability, cuts and bruises go through my head but I remain calm and I shoot Conrad a call…
I tell him I think I blew out a hub or wheel bearing on the trailer. He asks me to text him a picture and I send one. He says “Ok, I’m busy right now but I’ll be over your way in a few hours.” He told me to go fish ,not to worry and he’d get me squared away. Well, 3 hours later he calls and says he’s on the way to Remleys from his shop location in North Charleston.
I pull my anchor and head in from the middle grounds. I get to the dock and see him up at the truck near my trailer. My wife and I walked up to him to thank him for coming out and he says, “Ok, she’s good to go!” He literally called me 20 minutes prior to say he was on his way to help and he’s got my trailer fixed by the time it took me to go from the castle to Remleys! I cant thank him enough. You don
