try this. as soon as u catch the shrimp head them and put the tails on ice. I mean while u r catching them. when u get home cut the top off of a milk jug in the middle of the handle. fill it with shrimp to the bottom of the handle and cover them with water, freeze for an hour or two, then add another 1/2 to 1" of water and back to the freezer, now no way they can get freezer burned, and they wont taste like fish meal. this will be the firmest and freshest shrimp u can get.
